Effects of Operational Parameters on the Removal of Tetracycline from Aqueous Solutions by Electrocoagulation

Objectives: In this research, the efficiency of Electrocoagulation (EC) process with aluminum electrodes in removal Tetracycline (TC) from synthetic solutions was studied. Methods: This study experimentally run consisting a 1.5 L glass beaker and four which installed parallel. each test, 1 wastewater add into reactor, then effect parameters including current density (100-400 A/m2), reaction time (10-60 min), initial concentration TC (10-100 mg/L pH (pH=3-11) on performance were investigated. Results: The findings showed that %removal decreased as increased, highest obtained at range (5- 7). 10 reduced to 0.127 98.73% 400 A/m2 after 60 min EC. Conclusion: results indicate EC by electrode is an effective method for wastewater.
